Staining the Deck Part 2 – Applying the Stain

    Sanding is usually not required unless there are severely rough surfaces…

    When applying stain with either brush or roller or rag… it is mandatory to WIPE OFF THE EXCESS IMMEDIATELY with a clean dry rag… to insure a uniform stained finish…

    When applying stain over LARGE AREAS you can in fact use a roller and apply stain over 3ft x 4 ft areas, then wipe them immediately as instructed above, then continue on… you will cut your work load time dramatically…
