I just painted my daughters bedroom pink. We were painting over a blue/purple, so we had to use primer. On the very top of the wall by the ceiling, it appeared that we could still see hints of the purple – so I painted that area 4 or 5 times (2X everywhere else). Now that area has a different color than the rest of the room. I have white paint, so I was going to re-paint that area white and the after that dried, go back and put two coats of pink back on. Will that work?

Don't add anymore paint yet. See if this is simply a curing problem. The area with more coats could be taking longer to cure to the final color. If this doesn't work then you will need to repaint the walls, add another coat.
