Stucco Retaing Wall

Sue asked 10 years ago

We have a new stucco retaining wall that we would like to paint. The wall is next to our driveway. When it rains a lot the bottom stays wet for a few days. What kind of paint or stain would you recommend?

Wait until it drys completely… then use a masonry primer (latex)… finish coat with Sherwin Williams A-100 (use a flat finish color of choice) and apply it with a 3/4 inch nap roller cover (same application is true for the primer)… If rain seems likely, you should cover all of it down to the bottom with plastic drop cloths… for at least 2 days… however it will take 2 weeks before it cures completely… Good Luck

You could also use either an elastomeric coating or an oil based masonry stain, concrete stain.
