My house paint was kept on the back porch (closed in) during the winter. We had a cold winter in Missouri but the porch is next to the house so I thought it might be alright. How do I tell it is damaged? Does the consistency change or is there some way I can test it?

Latex and acrylic paint curdles and separates when it freezes and is thawed. Stir up the paint and see if this has happened. If the paint has been frozen, the curdled parts won't mix in and disappear plus some of the separated parts won't stay mixed.
