Painting over ceiling tiles.

Everyone's been talking about faux tin ceilings, so I decided to give it a try. I have ceiling tiles in my living room, the type with the swirly ridges. First, I thought I would purchase the plastic tiles and glue over them, but the cost for my living room was a little too much. So I decided to do the same procedure with the tiles. I painted them a rusty nail colour, and then went over that with a metallic copper glaze. It turned out beautifully. I have been asked if I have had a new ceiling installed. The glaze gives the ridges in the tiles, depth, so they sort of pop out. I love it.
