Hello, I am "Pam the Paperhanger", and I have been installing and removing wallpaper in Colorado Springs since 1983. The
comment I hear most often from my customers is: "You make it look so EASY." My response? After 25 years of practicing my trade,
it is indeed easy for me…
It is easy for me to do a very fine and very efficient wallpapering or removal job for you. My business motto is "Prompt, Skilled,
Neat" because I respect my customer's time, investment, home, and trust. A full half of my work comes through repeat customers
or their referrals.
The other half must have all seen the wallpapered '90 Toyota Tercel that I drove in town for 4 years! I enjoy my work, I enjoy
my customers, and I’ve always enjoyed the warmth, beauty, and personality that wallpaper can add to any room or even an automobile :).

We went from plain & white to pretty & warm with 10 single rolls = $250 for my
labor.
I have thousands of happy customers in the Pikes Peak region and I also have my claim-to-fame experience of working with the
ABC television show Extreme Makeover Home Edition.
In 2006 I was chosen as the official paperhanger to the Peyton, CO project. I worked with the producers, the builder, designers,
and yes, even Ty Pennington, to create some fun bedrooms for the adopted teenagers of the Barrett family. My customers love to
hear stories about that very interesting week!
I believe that doing it yourself is always worthwhile to try, but because there are so many tricks to this trade, hiring a
professional for wallpaper installation and/or removal can bring a huge savings in your valuable time alone. Less struggling
with scrapers & steamers, adhesives, or even your loved ones, can make the decision to hire me a real bonus.

Services
Now that I have introduced myself and my business, let me tell you in more detail about the services
I provide.
- I am an expert in working with the residential type wallcoverings. These are 21" to 28" in width and usually
(but not always) pre-pasted. I can install these anywhere, including your store or offices.
- I have great referrals for larger commercial jobs that use vinyl and fabric yard goods.
- I also specialize in murals (even the difficult-to-hang ones!) and papering ceilings.
- I have developed ways to remove wallpaper that are very efficient and cause no damage to the walls or mess
in your room.
- Always
FREE on-site ESTIMATES and measuring if I can't determine your needs over the phone.
- I provide all the necessary adhesives at no charge, and I bring the tools and ladders and table I will need.
You provide the wallpaper.
- My pricing is based on the square footage of the wall space we are working with, for both hanging and removing.
That is then translated into a "single rolls" amount.
- A note about single rolls vs. double rolls here: It is very confusing! In this industry, we most often refer
to single rolls for measuring and pricing, but when you get your wallpaper it is in what we call a "double roll BOLT". This bolt
is therefore equivalent to 2 single rolls.
My Charges are as Follows
WALLPAPER INSTALLATION....$25 per single roll
WALLPAPER REMOVAL....$20 per single roll
BORDER INSTALLATION....$20 per spool
BORDER REMOVAL....$15 per spool
CEILINGS....$30 per single roll
(that is what I call the "pain-in-the-neck" charge, or the "fighting gravity" tax)
ADDITIONAL LAYERS IN REMOVAL....1/2 again as much:
So the 2nd layer is....$10 per single roll
Then the 3rd would be....$5 per single roll
MURALS (typical 8 panel)....$180
EXTENSIVE WALL PREP...$55 per hour
COVERING SWITCH/OUTLET PLATES....$4.50 each
- An average amount of wall prep before hanging paper; including sanding, spackling, and sizing if necessary, IS COVERED IN
ABOVE PRICES. Extensive amounts of wall prep will be carefully planned and bid separately.
- I am not a decorator or wallpaper retailer, but I talk to my customers about their ideas and have a wealth of
information to draw upon and directions to go if they need it.
- I no longer take "high work". Jobs that require extension ladders, planks, and scaffolding I send to the
younger whippersnappers that I know in the business.
