The local paint store gave me a gallon of exterior satin latex paint when I asked for interior; I didn’t notice until after I painted my living room. This is 100% non-toxic paint, No VOCs at all. Is this okay, then?

Yes this is fine. Some things you might have noticed are; exterior house paint is typically thicker and a bit more difficult to work with, plus it might take a little longer to cure. Other than that you shouldn't have any problems.
