Can I use oil based metallic enamel paint on architectural foam?

I am not a Paint Chemist… try reading the label of the product and see what usage it has… I would stay with Acrylics…

Check with the manufacture to make sure it is paintable. I have seen two different types; slick "plastic" foam that was prefinished (not paintable) and a dull pre-primed type that is paintable. If it is paintable then all that is needed is a good primer. Most likely a good acrylic all purpose primer, Zinsser 123, will be used then any paint you choose can be applied.
