Covering up stencil?

Dan Staff asked 4 years ago

We are going to paint our bathroom and there is a brushed in paint stenciling around the top of the wall. Can I just paint over the stenciling with a quality paint with primer in it? Or will I need to do something else?

Using Paint/Primer Products is not advisable… always use a separate Primer… for the Bath, use a Pigmented Shellac Sealer Primer and cover the ENTIRE Bath… then finish coat using Sherwin Williams Classic-99 Semi…
