I was trying to remove a stain using the iron trick and removed the finish on my Brazilian pine table. It is a small spot. How can I repair it?

Need to know the type of finish already on your table. If it is shellac all that is needed is wiping down with denatured alcohol and reapply shellac. Varnish will require a good cleaning, light sanding and apply varnish. Lacquers are difficult to fix for most homeowners and should be avoided.
