I am trying to bid on some baseboards to paint. But, I need to know the sqft. How do you determine the linear ft.?

Well,

First you want to get all the measurements of trim, 2 inch trim and 3 inch trim or what ever the height. Then take one kind and imagine cutting it at 1 liner ft length and put them side by side till you have a liner foot then just how many do you have.

L x H in inches divided by 144. Example;

4 inch base x 130 ft.
130×12= 1560 inches
1560×4= 6240 sq/inches
6240/144= 43.33 sq/ft

Here's another way;

4 inches is 1/3 of a foot, .33
.33×130= 42.9 or 43 sq/ft

This made me think back to when I read a lot of prints.
