I am repainting my house. Does painting walls in off-white color and trims, ceiling and doors in white work?

This is a basic color scheme that can work well. There are many "off white" colors that look very good next to bright white trim and ceilings.

The nice thing about this color scheme is it is easy to accent with furniture, paintings, draperies, etc.
