I have a stained fiberglass door that is a walnut colour, however it’s too light. I would like to make it a rich dark brown. Can I paint over the stained door? What process is involved so that the paint on the fiberglass door doesn’t peel.

Yes, painting is a good option.
1- First, wash the door to remove dirt and oils from touching.
2- Now lightly sand with a fine sanding sponge, just to dull the finish a little. Wipe of the dust with a damp clean rag.
3- Prime with a good stain blocking oil base primer. Allow to dry.
4- Apply your paint; brush-roll or spray.
