I just painted a white primer/sealer on all the yellowed, old dirty textured walls and ceilings. The coverage is good and it looks great! Is it necessary to apply a coat of paint over this, or can I leave it?

Primer by itself isn't is good finish. It won't stand up to washing and will yellow over time. Although a good primer is a great foundation for paint by itself it won't be a good finish. It should be painted over with a good paint.
