Satin Finish Over Semi Gloss

I just applied one coat of semi gloss paint on my walls. Can I paint over top of it with a satin finish without sanding or priming?

Sanding and priming is needed. The only problem is painting over the slick semi-gloss, the roller will want slide a little. Take your time and pay attention.
