Stone/cement chimney

Napoleon Chiasson asked 10 years ago

I have just had my chimney (field stone/cement) touched up and would like to have it sprayed with a sealer. What do you recommend? I had it sprayed some 15 years ago with a silicone spray but I cannot find such product. All I see at retail outlets is the Thompson water sealer but I want something more durable and possibly of a commercial quality. Thanks

Check the brick / stone supplier from which came the materials. Any clear sealant used will, in your area, need to be re-applied every 18 – 24 months.

If the hard surface supplier has no answers ask your local paint dealer.
