Tacky/sticky walls

Michele asked 10 years ago

I painted my bathroom over 2 months ago. It did take several coats. The walls are still tacky/sticky. I had the window open and open it every time I shower. Why would my walls still feel like this after all this time? What can I do to fix it? I can’t afford to go out and get new paint.

This could be a problem with the paint or a contaminate is on the walls and interfering with the paint. The only way to fix is to repaint. This time you should prime with an oil base or shellac primer first.

Contact the original paint manufacture and explain the problem. Who knows you might get some free paint.
