Pure silicone sealants cannot be painted. No paint or primer can fully adhere to this caulking. After applied, the paint will bead off and peel when dry. If you have this happening, complete removal of the caulking needs to done. You might have to remove a small amount of the surface and apply a high quality primer before recaulking the area.
