Answer for Can I stack moulding that has been stained, sealed and lacquered?

Wet Stacking After Staining

I had a similar task for a large stack of cedar siding and found that it absorbed the stain quickly enough and allowed me to stack each board almost as quickly as I could apply the stain—–varnish would not allow immediate stacking like that without leaving unsightly marks.

Wait overnight before stacking after the final coat of lacquer is applied. The same can be done when staining. Stain as much as you can lay out, wait overnight then stack it and stain some more.

The concept is the same for applying the wood finish.
