Dining Room Table

Anonymous asked 10 years ago

I have a mat finish dining room table that had a water stain on it. I used a cloth (called Krazy Kloth) to remove it and it left a large shiny waxy spot. Now I can’t get the waxy spot off to restore the table top to its mat finish. Any suggestions on how to do this short of having the whole table top refinished?

Most likely the cloth polished the surface, making it shiny. According to their website; "Removes Scuff Marks & Water Rings. Cleans & Polishes." Sounds like it did exactly as advertised.

Try lightly rubbing the area with some denatured alcohol and a clean soft cloth. See if this removes any chemicals the Krazy Kloth might have left behind. If this doesn't work you will need to polish the entire top, making it all shiny, or refinish.
