Answer for Do I have to use a oil base primer after removing wallpaper?

Using an oil base primer is best before skim coating. This will block off any remaining wallpaper glue and prevent bubbling of the drywall mud. Using a primer isn't totally necessary but a good idea.

First you need to Block Sand the walls using a coarse grade paper, then Stain Seal them with a Pigmented Shellac Sealer Primer (best for your removed wall paper condition)… then finish coat with Sherwin Williams Classic-99 Acrylic… Look here for more specific advice on removing wall paper and repainting: //davmagic.com/paint/PAGES23.html Good Luck!
