Front door and shutter colors?

We have a white siding home with a green shingled roof. I want to repaint the front door and shutters. Our front door has a large oval window and two long windows on each side. The color of the home and roof will stay the same.

I took an art class in college. There is a concept of complimentary colors. Colors that are opposite to each other in the color wheel are opposites. If you want your door and shutters to stand out you would make it red (across green in color wheel) If you want it to blend you would choose light sky blue. You can Google color wheel to get an understanding of what I'm saying.

I would paint the door and shutters in "Tudor Brown" or in Gray "Clay". As an alternative I suggest dark orange "Burgundy" for the door and grey shutters.
