If you have several cans, 2 or more, then you should mix these together. This will make sure the paint you brush with is the same color as the paint you roll with. This mainly applies to darker colors, white or light off white paints are not affected as much.

If you find some of the paint has separated in the can then spend some time stirring it up before mixing everything together.
