Almost 2 weeks since walls were skimmed. Wall paper had been removed before hand. Pattern of wall paper now showing through as the walls are drying. These marks will not budge as the rest of the walls look dried out. Our intention is to paint all the walls with emulsion paint. Will this cover the patches?

If a drywall compound was used 24 hours is enough time. Gypsum based products dry and cure fast.

The only way to check the walls for a pattern is to prime it and see. Use an acrylic stain blocking primer. If there is still a pattern from the old wallpaper then more skimming is needed. this can be done over the primer.
