Stucco House Masonry or Elastomeric Paint

I have a 25 year old Stucco house with many cracks all over. I have spoken to a couple of contractors. One wants to use Masonry paint. Is this the same as elastomeric paint or a kind of elastomeric paint? The contractor said the Masonry paint will seal the cracks (but not fix them).

Will this be good for stucco.

Another company insists I need to use products from a company called California Stucco. //www.californiastucco.net/Products.htm

Hello Mansy,

Well masonry paint should work too but I have heard a lot of good things about Elastameric paints as well. My father, a 30+ year vet to the industry, uses it out in Nevada, on stucco homes. So I would say go with that.

Thank you
