Vine Damage to Exterior

Vine removed from wood exterior has left a hard barnacle on the surface. What is the best way we can remove this barnacle without further damage?

They are very persistent and not easily removed. Scraping and/or sanding are your only choices. I don't know of any other way to remove them with out requiring some primer and touch-up paint.
