My kids bathroom was painted a few years ago, and is just now starting to crack all over. How to fix it?

Give it a block sanding using coarse paper… then apply joint compound with a wide trowel over all the cracking areas… let dry for several hours, then lightly sand with medium paper… next prime all surfaces using a pigmented shellac sealer primer… finish coat with Sherwin Williams Classic-99 Semi Gloss Latex…

There could be adhesion problems of the drywall mud; Prime after the sanding and before applying the drywall mud. Use an oil based primer, Kilz will work well.
