I have painted my kitchen walls and now would like to paint a Cranberry Stripe all around the top. Could you give me suggestions on size and how to do this?
Size is purely subject to your desire, try a 3in width… you can paint it on by using a pencil and marking the line with a string pulled taunt the full length against the wall (or better use a chalk string and "snap it" to give the guide line for cutting (brushing) into)…
However you better learn how to properly cut a straight line first…
Typical alternative is to use "painters tape" …
BTW there are lots of paper adhesive backed borders available at your paint store…
You could use Frog Tape. This works good on a smooth wall, not as good if there is any major texture. I wrote an article about <a href="https://www.house-painting-info.com/painting-stripes.html">painting stripes</a> that will help.
