In my opinion, you can stain the deck simply to protect it. You can stain with a darker wood tone to create the feel of a teak deck, otherwise you can try a white stain which is nice in summer in warm climate to provide a cool look.

With a beige house, a lighter deck color would compliment the colors of the home nicely. I would recommend a lighter wood, even maybe a solid beige will give it some personality.
