Exterior Blue Paint

I would like to paint the exterior of my beach house with blue tones. I was told by a paint store that an exterior blue color will fade the faster. The location of the house is a Caribbean island. Please help.

Reds and Yellows will fade the fastest… blue as long as it is a fairly solid color (medium or deep blue or even aqua tones) should last for several years (6-9)… PROVIDING you use a high quality brand like Sherwin Williams A-100 (gloss or semi)…
