New Exterior Treated Deck

I put Rhino Deck on the floor of my deck. The railings and steps are treated lumber. My question is once I stain can I put a polyurethane on to finish? And is there any advantage to do this?

There is no advantage to applying a poly or varnish to your decks rails. The disadvantage is trying to maintain this finish. It will peel after a while and create a mess. A good deck stain is much easier to maintain.
