First coat of paint with primer?

Anonymous asked 4 years ago

9″ 3/8 roller. After first coat, nap marks, roller marks, etc. Tried to correct, but only got worse. What’s the best way to smooth out walls with second coat?

What did you do to correct the problem? Right now all that you can do is use a pole sander and 120 grit sandpaper and try sanding to reduce the roller marks. This won't be easy. If the nap marks are particularly thick you can use a palm sander or be forced to skim the surfaces with drywall mud.
