I took down some wanes coating and there was a visible line from prior painting. I was told to spread some drywall mud over the line, let it dry and sand it down. I sprayed texture over the mud line to try and match our existing wall. I painted two coats over it and the mud line is still visible. What are my options?
Apply more drywall mud over the area. This time try 2 coats and spread it out farther with the second coat.
Don't sand too much. This will take too much of the applied drywall mud off and expose the line again. Apply a coat of acrylic primer over the repair to check the area out before applying a texture. The primed surface should show any defects that need fixing.
