Well I think that you have several choices;
gray
black
slate
blue
green

You could use various shades of the above colors. I would go get color combinations of said colors and paint parts of house trim to see how it looks and ask opinions of your neighbors. Also shop the local small hardware shops like ace hardware you might be able to get more suggestions.

I think a bright red would be completely awesome for your house. If you are looking for something eclectic and fancy, I would go with this color. No one does this kind of thing anymore, and from my point of view, this would make your house the coolest one on the block.
