How can I refinish an old painted metal shed?

I’d like to refinish an old (maybe 20+ years), painted, metal shed to look rusted, or as close to it as I can get. Any suggestions?

You could use Modern Masters Metal Effects Iron Paint with Rust Activator. This will produce a rusted effect that looks very cool. It is a great way to get a rusted look on any surface without waiting for nature to do it for you.
