How to stomp and drag texture?

Johnson Paint Service asked 4 years ago

I’m a 30 yr painter with a contract business of my own. But, I never until now ran into a bid where I had to stomp and drag a ceiling. I would appreciate some tips….Thanks, Tracy Johnson, Johnson Paint Service

Stomping texture is an easy way to hide imperfections in taping and finishing job.
Things you will need for stomping
• Drywall compound
• Paint tray
• Drop cloth
• Goggles
• Protective clothing
• Extension handle
• Paint roller
• Heavy nap liner
• Stomp brush
• Drywall knife
• Drywall primer
Apply a thick coat of mud with a roller with lambs skin cover, roll and stomp in sections. You will have to practice with the right drag time. It depends on the temperature and humidity in your area. You can also apply customized indoor wallpapers to hide the imperfections of the walls of your house. This is the cheapest and easiest way to correct the things.
