Mismatched Closet Doors

Connie Heintz asked 10 years ago

I bought 2 closet doors, one was primed and the other was not. So now when painted and hung one door has a grey tinge and the other is white. Can I now prime the door and repaint so the 2 doors match?

Yes you can. It is possible one more coat of paint will do the trick but sometimes the original wood color can bleed through, this is tannin bleed. A good primer takes care of this problem. If needed you can apply a primer over the paint.
