My redwood stain is pink. We have stained over and over but within six months it is pink we want red wood color.

Prime it with an Exterior Oil Base Wood Primer… then finish coat it with Sherwin Williams Porch & Deck Enamel, use the color that you want… give up the staining attempts…

Reds are notorious for premature fading. To help use a good quality acrylic solid stain, acrylics last a little longer when compared to oil stains. As mentioned paint might be an option, only if your wood is suited to paint.
