Painting Doors

Can each side of a door be painted a different color? We are remodeling, and are using painted doors instead of wood doors. The color of the rooms and trim will vary slightly, so am wondering how this is normally done since the door will look different when open vs closed….Help! 🙂

You said "instead of wood doors" … I think you meant instead of a natural stained and varnished wood door…

Yes you can paint either side of a door a separate color… so when the door is in the closed position, simply paint it the color of the door trim that each side is facing, and paint each edge of the door for each side's color… always use a semi-gloss sheen for doors…
