Re Staining Pine Doors

I stained the new pine doors I bought with a pecan stain and the finished them with a water based poly. I would like to change them to a gold oak. Do I have to sand them down to bare wood? What is the best way to restain them?

  1. Sanding will NOT remove the previous Stain and top coating… you need to use a Paint and Varnish Remover (Stripper) follow label instructions… OR better, use a Furniture Restorer Product (easier to use)…
