Is there a high/ low temperature window for applying elastomeric paint to concrete block wall?
Absolutely… ALL PAINTS need at least 50F overnight for at least 2 weeks to CURE properly… and applying any paint above 90F can result in improper drying and/or application… Humidity is also a factor… moderate humidity is best…
Mr. Magic Dave is spot on. Elastomeric coatings can be a bit tricky in hot weather; impossible to back-roll when to hot.
To help slow down the coatings drying time- block walls can be pre-wetted with water, this works for most elastomerics in high temp and low humidity. All manufactures have slightly different formulas so talking to your local sales rep is the best idea, they will know the product and your local weather then provide good sound advice.
