I’m using good paint. It’s the Manor Hall paint that can be used on wood, metal or concrete. It is the eggshell finish. I want to paint the woodwork with the same kind of paint, darker shade, only in semi-gloss. I don’t want to damage the wall paint with the edging tape.

12 hours minimum, 24 hours for better results. If possible avoid using tape on the wall and cut-in with a brush, by hand. With a little practice and a steady hand very little tapping is needed.

If you use a tape for delicate surfaces this time can be cut in half, usually. Only problem is this type of masking tape won't stick very well.
