What type of paint to use?

I’m getting different opinions. What do you use on a primed steel door, latex or oil base paint?

I am a "new-school" painter, so I absolutely would go with a latex. Since the door is primed, adhesion will be fine, and today's premium latex paints are very versatile. Plus you will not have issues in the future when repainting. Use a latex paint meant for doors and trim.

Either will work… oil will last longer for exterior use, acrylic is easier to work with… most important is to use a high grade product like Sherwin Williams A-100 and use a semi or gloss finish…
