I’ve read lots of the Q&A but would like clarity on the use of a primer after stripping, and before using a gel stain. It seems it isn’t “necessary” but will it give a better result? ie. perhaps the gel stain will go on more consistently or stick better?…or cover some of the original stain between the grain?
