Sticky Interior Doors

The areas on my doors that are touched repeatedly get “sticky” and stay that way even after cleaning and even if I repaint them.

Did you prime the "sticky" areas before painting? This is needed to seal up these areas. Use a fast drying oil base primer, Zinsser Cover Stain, or a tinted shellack primer. The shellac primer will work the best.
